Applications & Advantages
For both types of refrigeration, rigid polyurethane foam has been recognised as the most effective and economic insulation material because it offers these advantages:

• The processing characteristics can be tailored towards production of insulated sandwich elements and large monocoque construction rather than the present concept of reinforcing post.
• The thermal conductivity of PUR foam is superior to any other insulating material.
• The low weight of rigid polyurethane foam is mandatory in the refrigerated transport industry.
• Structural composites of rigid polyurethane foam have high strength and low weight .
• Rigid PUR foam composites have high resistance to mechanical and thermal shocks, and are resistant to fungi and mildew.
  
  Modular Walk-ins
  Assembled from standard elements providing units in a large selection of sizes. All polyurethane sandwich elements, in thicknisses of 10 & 15 cm will hold controlled temperatures ranging from -40'C to +80'C (continuous heat). Wall and corner panels are available in a wide range of heights and designed to partition multi compartment arrangements. Standard width is 120cm and its multicompartment arrangements. Standard width is 120cm .Ceiling and Floor Panels are of the same width as wall panels and in lengths up to 8mt - On outdoor installations, ceiling elements will be needed for support. Floor will support uniformly distributed load up to 2.5 tons per square meter. Handcarts, and equipment can be used inside the cold room as the plywood reinforcement distributes the load and protects against impact damage. Where power equipment such as forklifts are used, a minimum of 10cm reinforced poured concrete should top the floor (installation details are available on request).
  
  Assembly of COOLRITE Modular Walk-ins
  Camlocks, Moulded and permanently anchored into the injected rigid polyurethane foam core during the manufacturing process of sandwich elements, tightly joins panels into a unified assembly.
  Assembly is performed from the interior simply by turning with an hexagonal wrench, the locking arm of the camlock in one panel first engages the pin in the adjacent one and the camlock action drums the two panels tightly together. The tongue and groove edges assure positive alignments of all elements. Coolrite Modular Walk-ins are easily added to at any future time or taken apart and reassembled in other location. Choice of Door Cold-Rooms - Hinged or sliding, doors manually or electrically operated, Cold warehouses, assembled from modular insulated panels up to 800cm high can be provided, as per clients requests.
