Cooling
Towers
Operational Principle
Water cooling is obtained by the close contact of the
circulating water and of the counter flow air circulation.
To attain this the water is sprayed through the spray
nozzles of a header placed in the upper part of the cooling
tower cooler. The water then flows down by gravity and
while dropping, meets an exchange surface and falls into
the collecting basin. During this process the water meets
the upward flow of air and is cooled by mainly transfering
the latent heat, and some of the sensible heat with the
evaporation of a small quantity of circulating water.
COOLRITE
Cooling Towers Features Large Choice of Models
Three types of COOLRITE coolers for each type, a range
of 15 sizes; altogether giving a total of 45 models allowing
you to select the cooler for your capacity of heat dissipation,
with a flexibility to meet your installation and operation
needs.
COOLRITE
PD
(Prop fans - draw-through models induced draft)
COOLRITE PB
(prop fans-blow-through models forced draft)
COOLRITE BB
(blower fans - blow-through models forced draft)
The
possibility to install these coolers back to back or side
by side, increases the number or solutions.
INSTALLATION VERSATILITY
For each installation requirement there is a COOLRITE
model:
* outside or inside a building.
* on integral, individual metal basin or on individual
or common concrete basin.
* close to a wall or building.
* against, adjacent or in the place of another cooler.
* on roof, flat roof, framing, with a supply water tank
at the same level, or on the ground.
The installation is made easy as cooler and collecting
basin have the same dimensions.
SAVINGS
ON OPERATION
* the homogeneous distribution of water in the cooler.
* the high efficiency of the exchanger surfaces,
* the air moving design.
Combine to give a very favourable Air-to-water ratio and
consequently a lower fan motor power input.
OPERATIONAL
FLEXIBILITY
Each fan is driven by its own motor allowing a flexible
operational control:
a) Speed variation(units with optional 2-speed fan motors),
b) choice of operation of one or several fans, according
to cooling loads (units with several fan-motor assemblies).
RELIABILITY
The thickness, shape and composition of the materials
and components and the safety protections, give to the
COORLITE towers a sturdiness that warranty long life and
trouble-free operation.
SILENT
OPERATION & ENERGY SAVINGS
The best way to fight the noise efficiently is not to
make any in the first place. COORLITE coolers are designed
with this in mind, particulary BB models equipped with
centrifugal fans with low power input.
These models can be fitted with sound attenuators for
installation where very low sound level is at a premium.
The BB range also includes the BBC models in which the
number of fan assemblies is doubled and located on the
two opposite faces.
Their very low rotation speed gives a very low power input.
The low sound level makes it easy to solve all the noise
problems in residential areas, hospital zones, etc.
